Carolin Seeger

Business and human rights expert with almost 20 years of experience working with global corporations.

Profile

Since 2020, I have worked predominantly with German DAX and MDAX companies in implementing human rights due diligence. Between 2021 and 2023, I also provided support to numerous additional companies as a consultant with the German Government's Helpdesk on Business and Human Rights.

Previously, I was the Managing Consultant of twentyfifty GmbH, the leading consultancy on business and human rights in Germany. At twentyfifty, my clients included seven of the German DAX companies, among many others.

From 2012 to 2016, I led the human rights practice at Telstra, Australia’s leading telecommunications company. I worked with key functions like Procurement, Compliance, Risk and HR to integrate social and human rights issues into core business processes.

I started my career at Maplecroft in 2005, where – in addition to various consulting engagements – I led the development of the Maplecroft Human Rights Risk Atlas, the first ever comprehensive set of country human rights risk indices for business.

Based in Berlin, I work internationally and bilingually in English and German. My broad international experience stems from having spent 16 years living and working in India, Ireland, the UK, the US and Australia.

I hold degrees from the London School of Economics and Political Science (MSc Development Management) as well as ESB Business School - Hochschule Reutlingen and Dublin City University (double degree in European Business).

I look forward to hearing from you.
